Artist FAQs

  • No! Your creative space is what matters in North Coast Open Studios. For some artists, that space is a rented warehouse and for others it’s a kitchen table or living room couch. Regardless, you are welcome to participate!

  • Absolutely not. If you want to participate in North Coast Open Studios and share your creative process with visitors, we WANT you to participate! Whether you’re painting, throwing pottery, brewing beer, carving wood, melting glass, or something entirely different, you are welcome.

  • As of 2024, the individual artist fee is $115, nonprofit organizations and collectives are $155, and businesses are $195. We have a limited amount of funding available to new, young, and up-and-coming artists who want to participate, and for whom the registration fee is a barrier to participation. Please email Monica at contact@northcoastopenstudios.com to inquire about a subsidized registration.

  • To begin, you’ll need to submit your registration by the end of March, then email a high resolution image representative of your work to contact@northcoastopenstudios.com. After that, as the event guidebook is coming together, you will be asked to proof your listing and map placement, to be sure your information is accurate. You’re invited (and highly encouraged) to participate in the NCOS Art Show and Reception to be held at the Ink People’s Brenda Tuxford Gallery during May Arts Alive, and continuing through the end of the month.

Then, all we ask is that you have your studio open from 10am-5pm on the weekend/s you signed up for when you registered. If you have any last minute changes of plan, please reach out to contact@northcoastopenstudios.com as soon as possible, so we may include information on our website and social media for the benefit of visitors and participating artists.
